Identity Theft... How to watermark your photos to protect them...

::edit:: I want to give a disclaimer... if none of this makes any sense, it's because when I was writing it, I had a 2 year old jumping and dancing on my lap... I just came back and noticed that an entire picture was missing... the explanation was there, just no photo... LOL It's there now!

I wish that this post wasn't necessary. I wish that people were honest, and that they didn't try to take advantage of others. I wish alot of things, but in a fallen world that needs Jesus, there will always be people like that.

I use the website www.ipiccy.com for my editing and watermarking. It is pretty simple, but I wanted to make a tutorial.

This is what the page looks like when you first bring it up. Click on "Upload Photo" to get started. After you've uploaded your photo, double click on the thumbnail of the photo.

This is where you will go next. You can edit the photo in any way you want from here. Change the colors, make it a Facebook cover photo, crop, anything you want. If you are only wanting to watermark, click on the "layers" button, where I have the arrow pointing.

In this screen, you can add your watermark, or other text that you want to add. To make it light, for the watermark, change the "fade". I usually do it between 50% and 60%, depending how dark or light the back ground is. I try to put it in a place that would be hard to crop out.

You can add multiple layers, including stickers and other text boxes. When you are done adding, click "Done" in the right corner above the photo.

Click "Merge Layers", and then click the button that looks like a floppy disc. This will allow you to save it to your computer and use it.

Now just save it to your computer and use your picture!
